CLOUDCROFT LIGHT OPERA Murder at the Masquerade

New Orleans society is abuzz with word that the Rabaud family will hold their annual masquerade in Cloudcroft New Mexico. Claudette Rabaud, matriarch of the family, fell in love with the sleepy mountain village when she arrived searching for evidence of a French settlement founded by one of her ancestors.

It has not been a good time for Claudette. Members of New Orleans society have witnessed heated arguments between Claudette and her son Robspierre. Robspierre accuses others of stealing the infamous Rabaud Red Masque from his luggage. Vile rumors questioning Claudette's and Robspierre's sanity spread like cancer. An orgy of viciousness and malignant glee suffuse the air already thick with tension. Angry and upset, Claudette retires to her room.

Early Friday morning Claudette's maid, Camille Fiore, discovers Claudette's blood drenched and mutilated body. And so the investigation begins.....
