Co-Directed by Arlan Ponder & Joplin Sell |
|
| We will be holding open auditions on MAY
16th, 2010 from 1pm-2:30pm. Below is the list of characters.
Please read over the descriptions and if interested in a part or parts
to audition for, please email me your name and the parts you'd like to
try out for. At the audition you will be required to read a small
excerpt for the show. And if selected, you'll be given a call and
a script to study all summer. We are planning on taking the selected cast over to the Spencer at the end of the month so you can envision for yourselves how this show will be organized. It's a BEAUTIFUL theater and we're SO lucky to have this chance to perform. We are excited about this opportunity and look forward to seeing our CLOC members shine! |

![]() Cast of Characters "ON STAGE FOR MURDER": |
|||
| Real Stage Manager: Viola Penner Producer: Tammy Bean |
DIEDRE The director of Death by Diedre, an interactive murder mystery company. She underpays and humiliates her actors every chance she gets. She forces them to buy their own costumes while she wears a different designer outfit every day, feeds them stale sandwiches while she eats steak, and brags about her wealth and good-fortune to anyone and everyone while her actors look on. She’s a real diva, without the deeve!!! |
played by Terra Ponder |
|
| MAVERICK Owner of the restaurant where the mystery is being performed. He is becoming increasingly frustrated with Diedre because of her outbursts, and has refused to pay her for the last show. He is a real “maverick,” and has worked hard to get where he is. He goes by his first name only because he believes first impressions are the most important, and wants everyone to know how hard he has worked. That, and because it REALLY bugs Diedre. |
played by ARLAN PONDER |
DUNDER
DOODY Diedre’s ex-husband. She keeps him around to run her errands, all the while treating him like a dog. He dutifully does her daily duties, but he’s a bit on the clumsy side and when he’s around, things often come to a crashing halt! Diedre humiliates him every chance she gets, and although he’s an actor with an impressive resume, she will no longer allow him to perform in her productions. |
played by Rich Penner |
| WINNIE
WEINNER An actress, playing the leading lady, Adelle Acasea, in tonight’s production, “A Plateful of Death.” She sees herself as someone everyone loves to work with… easy-going, accommodating, selfless… all the while complaining loudly about her costume and everything about the show, the restaurant, the other actors… and Diedre! played by |
played by Larisa Hoke |
PHILLIPE IGLASIAS GAUNTZ
(PIG) An actor, playing the leading man, Winston Stinson, in tonight’s production, “A Plateful of Death.” He is arrogant, selfish, and handsome, and thinks he is very, very talented. He loves to eat, and has been perfectly cast in tonight’s production as Elvis… Elvis in his later days, that is! He and Diedre have been battling – in and out of the sheets! played by |
played by Jeremy Colbert |
| SONDRA
SORREE An actress. She doesn’t like to make waves, and will do anything to keep the peace. She, too, will accept any role, but Diedre sees her as a silly little ditz and typecasts her in every show. She’s begged Diedre to give her bigger parts in her shows, but Diedre refuses. Sondra is at the end of her rope and is ready to do anything to prove to Diedre what she’s REALLY capable of. |
played by Leah Freeman |
EVAN S. EVEN An actor. He’s even-tempered and pleasant, and will take even the smallest role without complaint. Everyone likes Evan, especially Sondra, who suspects Diedre isn’t just interested in him for his acting. Evan is generally a mild-mannered guy, unless he’s pushed too far. And when Diedre is doing the pushing, it’s ALWAYS too far! |
